5M42 movement: capacitor vs. lithium ion batt
I've owned a Kinetic 5M42 movement since 1999. I just sent the watch into Coserv for service because over the last few years, the capacitor will only hold a charge for ~3 days, versus the 10-14 days I used to get.
I assume Coserv will quote me a price to change the capacitor for a lithium ion battery.
Question -- is the performance of the Li-Ion good enough to justify investing money back into this watch??? (Original purchase price was $239.) TAG Heuer Link Chrono CJF2150 & TAG Heuer Link Calibre S CJF7110
